distributor question
Will a computer controlled distributor fit and work correctly in an older engine that had a non computer controlled distributor?

Sorry guys, I worded that question poorly. I have an 89 RS, the motor is very tired. I have a fresh older 305 that does not have a computer controlled distributor. Can I put a computer controlled distributor in this older engine to use in my RS? I will be keeping the computer and everything, just a motor swap

Yes, that will work just fine. Drop in. Depending on what motor it is you may have other issues though (intake bolts, flywheel / flex plate bolt pattern, oil dipstick)
