ZF 6 Speed Question

I have looked high and low for this, does anyone know what the torque rating is for the ZF 6 speed?

Thanks.

It is freakin huge. They are used behind the 8.1L and the Duramax Diesels. I will look when I go to work next time for you.

The 89-93 Zf's addy claim 450lb TQ and the 94 up dropped to 400 due to the different gear cut pattern. The changed the patternt to help quite down the idle noise. The Zf came with the dualmass flywheel. The is basically a two piece flywheel. runnig a ZF with a typical single mass flywheel produces in some cases a disturbing idle noise. (like looses screw in a beer can.) this dosnt hurt anything .Hope this helps

It is highly underrated! We have used many of them behind twin-turbo small blocks and nitroused big blocks with no problems. Lingenfelter installed one in a 1st gen car with a 632" big block. Zoinks!!

Well that's what I kind of figured but wasn't sure. I have heard that the ZF 6 was about the same rating as the T56, and I have heard from other sources that it does indeed hold up beyond the 500 ft/lbs torque mark. What I'm getting at is that I would like to find a manual 6 speed that will hold up to at least 500 ft/lbs of torque without question.
I have also heard rumors (haven't confirmed it yet...) that if the ZF ever has any mechanical problems it would have to be sent to Germany for repairs. Where the T56 obviously could be fixed at any reputable tranny shop.
Any one know of anyone who has put a ZF 6 in a 3rd Gen?

Thanks for the help...
