You can also do the TPI ram air. To find out more on that look in the tech section, under RAM AIR FOR TPI. I did this for under $6.00 Also, you can remove ****, like your front sway bar, spare tire, jack, back seats, ect.... What ever you wan't to spare, remove it. Less weight is good

Doing a performance tune up is sort of a free mod, since tune ups have to be done any way, you might as well get some more horsepower out of it. A performance tune up is when you use rapid fire plugs, accel wires, cap, rotor, K&N filters, synthetic oil to name a few.

1987 Chevy Camaro IROC-Z
L98 TPI 350 (5.7L)
TH 700R-4 Transmission

Current Mods: Edelbrock TES Headers, Hooker Cat-Back System, Performance Resource Chip, 160* Thermostat, Accel 8.8mm Ignition Wires, K&N high flow air filters, gutted air box, gutted MAF sensor, Throttle Body Coolant By-Pass, Homemade Ram-Air, Falken ZIEX Z-Rated Tires.

1/4 mile times without chip:
Best ET: 15.7 @ 89MPH
Best Corrected ET: 14.5 @ 96MPH

do you plan on porting the edelbrock?

you do realize, that a ported stock base can flow what an unported edelbrock flows right?

You can also shim the fuel pressure regulator to increase fuel pressure. That will result in a little more power and improved throttle response.

I used a quarter in mine, pretty simple swap really, hardest part is getting the plenum off to get at the FPR.

You simply insert your shim into the top of the FPR housing, then re-assemble. What it does is increase pressure on the spring assembly in the FPR, thereby requiring more fuel pressure to force the spring assembly to open the return line.

This is the exact same thing that a aftermarket AFPR does by the way, only it uses a screw/bolt to press on the spring assembly, so it is adjustable (duh).
