Help with 91RS No start after park

So I pulled up to a Post Office and shut the engine down like normal. I came back out and went to start the car and it wouldn't. So I went to a gas station and bought a little starting fluid which did the trick, luckily I had someone with me which could crank the car over while I was squirting. It started ok and we left. I didn't think much of it till I got back to work and then tried to leave that night and had the same problem. However this time starting fluid would not get it started. If I keep spraying the fluid in it will keep running. So it seems that my car is not getting any fuel. I checked relays and replaced them. I have unhooked the fuel line and there is no fuel coming out when we crank the motor over, is that normal? I have checked the obvious like gas and spark. I hooked up a trouble code reader and get no codes.

Help this is a 305 by the way. Bone stock other than 3" catback and open element. It is fuel injected not carbed.

I thank you all for the replies in advance.:hail:

Sounds like it wants a new fuel pump relay.

I switched the relay with the cooling fan relay as they are the same. Have any other ideas? Thanks for the reply

Can you hear the fuel pump operate for two seconds when you turn the ignition ON?

No I hear nothing and I am sure at one point it used to.

Would the VATS, disable the fuel pump even if the security light doesnt stay on steady or flash?

Update.

I finally had the car towed home and when I got it back I decided to jump in it and start it. The damn thing started so I took it for a drive, and by the way I heard the fuel pump that time. I parked it when I got home and then tried it again and nothing.
So is it some short somewhere? Maybe a fuel pump wire?
