Today on my way home I got caught in a sudden downpour of rain with my top down. I didn't bother putting my top up, because I was about 2 minutes away from home. When I go home I put the top up, and after putting it up it immediately wants to go down. I struggle with it for about 5 minutes before finally just letting it go down and putting a tarp over it. But the motor keeps wanting to pull the top down, even though it is already all the way down. I finally ended up pulling it into the garage and disconnecting the battery. What should I do now?

 

What year is your 'vert? There were a couple of differences in '86.

Start by checking the top control switch, pump relays, and hydraulic spool valve.

 

Its fine now, I guess it just needed a little sun to dry out that wetness (probably a short somewhere). Anyways, its a 1984 Trans Am custom convertible. Thanks anyways.
