car sits tilted to the right

I noticed this the other day...my z28 tilts to the right when it's parked. I've seen it from the rear, i havent looked from the front to see if it is tilted up there too. I know it's gotta be suspension, but what?? Coils? I guess the rear susp rebuild will be coming sooner than my wallet expected. i've also noticed a significant decrease in the way the rear handles. does anyone use the spohn lca's and panhard bar? they seem economical and decently built...let me know your opinions.

How does your car handle?? Take a look under your car at the sway bar end links. The bushings are probably rotted or missing.
This is an easy fix. Go to Pep Boys and buy new end links with neoprene or polyurethane bushings. It takes about 2 hours with some WD-40 and two ratchets. It should help the way your car looks when sitting as well as the way it handles/drives. I just did mine three days ago. Hope this helps.

Endlinks aren't going to level the car, or rather should not level the car when it's level. Problem sounds like a bad coil.

Chances are that your LCA's, and Panhard are fine as well. Although if you are serious about handling, new poly bushings, and endlinks are worth it.

Most likely, the problem is the front springs. They hold up alot more weight than the back ones, so they also affect the levelling of the car more.

These cars always need springs anyway. Replace all 4 and you will certainly fix the problem, and your car wil drive a whole lot better besides.

My friend has a 65 mustang with the same problem. We thought it was the suspension to so he got new shocks and springs. I think they were KYB or P im not sure. But anyway, It didnt fix the problem. The we thought the car wasnt siting flush with the axle. So we loosened the shackles on the leaf springs on the back and gave the car a couple of nice nudges. It looked even more weird. SO we put everything back together and just figured maybe thats the way it sits because the suspension isnt going to be perfectly level in every corner. So he just lives with it know. When his pocket book gets a little bigger he'll probably have to do frame work to get it level.
Good luck, Maybe yours won't be such a complicated fix.

I'm not sure where I heard this or if it is even true, but rumor has it that the engines are offset to the right so that when there is a 200 lb driver in the car, the car sits level. If this is true, then it is normal to tilt to the right when parked. I could be wrong though.

hmm i dunno how feasable that sounds to me about the offset motor, but it could be true. after closer inspection today, i found 3 things....
1. the front end sits fine
2. the driver side rear sway bar link is broke and
3. the rear isn't centerd, it's offset to the driver's side about an inch or 2

i bought stock coils, kyb gas adjust shocks, an edelbrock panhard bar (would have bought the spohn, but i got the edelbrock coming to my parts store tomorrow, same price) and poly sway bar bushings and links. we'll see how this does. oh yeah also some new rubber lca bushings, i didnt get poly cause i plan to replace them lcs'a soon. i'm not sure what the deal is w/ the offset rear though, i dont liek that at all...any thoughts? aside from a bad accident??????? I don't want to find that out, there's no filler anywhere back there...

Strange. Check the panhard bracket on the chassis.

2 inches is alot to be off.

I don't know how long you have had the car or anything, but you may want to check out the frame and make sure it isn't bent or rusting anywhere, that could be real dangerous.
