350 tbi wont idle unless egr valve is slightly wedged up. if the egr is left alone an plugged in the car wont idle but has great throttle response,but it will only idle if the egr is wedged up but has crappy throttle response and runs like crap. egr wedged up is the only way it will idle. thanks for any suggestion guys

 

Your engine should idle with no EGR addition. My first guess is that the mixture is excessively rich.

 

yeah it doesn't make much sense, opening the egr should hurt your idle not help. what are your O2 readings?

 

yeah I know it should hurt not help,but I ran out of ideas and thought what the hell and tried it. IAC,tps,map,O2 ,new gaskets from intake up,new vac lines from canister back,new fuel pump.As for my snap on scanner, sombody obviously liked it better than I and helped themselves to it and all my cards and K chips. So I dont have a clue as to what my readings are.SES is throwing codes but I know what those are caused from, and those aint the prob.

 

Basicaly the only thing not new on the car is the chassis and body
