LT-5 swap for my '95 Fbird

Big problem guys, I live in Dominican Republic and I got an '85 firebird with the 2.8l V6. I recently purchased a totaled ZR-1 vette (no damage whatsoever to the front end)
Now we got decent mechanics down here but I refuse tot totally trust any of them. I need help, Im not very handy with the wrench but I want to help install the LT-5 engine and the ZF-6 tranny on my bird. What do I need to buy to complete the swap? Please help me out, I know I got a pretty good deal going here and I want to make the most of the power in this engine.

You need to buy a crossmember for the t56 and I think you need a custom drive shaft. The donor car has everything else. You need to find somebody that can help you do it.

Hey bro. I like your attitude and passion. That is a very daunting project but it can be done. I must tell you that you will need alot of electrical experience. The best approach would be to leave everything hooked to the LT-5 and remove the complet wiring harness and vehicle harness from the Vette complete. It would be alot more simple to transplant it this way. First and foremost, you will need a ZR-1 HELMS manual and a F-BODY HELMS manual and thoroughly familiarize yourself with the common items of each entire system. For example, headlights are headlights, as far as their hook-up. I wish I could be there to help you, I love a good challenge. More than likely, you will have to heavily modify the saddle that the engine sits in since the LT-5 uses a much larger capacity oilpan. You will probably have to eliminate the pre-cats which is a good thing plus mandated TRUE DUAL exhaust. Email me and I will try and help you out with some of the particulars. Good luck.

cool deal. get some camaro books. some show the f-body prototype with the LT-5. they put big blocks in too to see how much power our cars can handle.
