I was just wondering how you install that spoiler that goes underneath the radiator because the car get's hot in my car and I need that spoiler so it doesnt get hot in my car even when the heat's off.

the two on the ends are hard to get, its easier to put those in if the radiator is out, but the rest all you do is get up under there with your nuts and bolts and fasten away, i dont remember if there is 4 or 6 bolt/screw holes, very simple tho, took me like 15 min and it dropped my engine temp 60*

Tinnerman nuts and sheet metal screws.
Doesn't Dirk get a little sensitive about that? And doesn't that limit you to TWO fasteners?

OH! "Tinnerman" nuts, not "Timmerman" nuts! Never mind....

Anyway, on my '86 the factory used the speed nuts and screws on the lower radiator support, and plasitc push rivets on the end pieces that attach to the outer ground effect and filers. The rubber aprons along side the radiator shell are also held by the plastic push rivets, except at the very bottom where the speed nuts and screws are installed żOdd, isn't it?

Heat Off?

Warrior_91,

I was not sure what you meant by "even with the heat off".

It was an old trick that if your radiator was not up to snuff you could turn on the heat and the heater core would act as a mini radiator.

If it was a choice between frying your engine or having to drive with the heater on and the windows down it was better to run with the heater on full blast for better cooling.
