It will not "bolt" into your Camaro, but you can make it "fit".

Know if it would bolt in to my stock tranny (TH-700R4) or any insight? heh, would it be better to just go grab a chevy 350 running engine and pop it in.

Yeah it would be better. You would have more aftermarket and it would be an easier install.
The buick and olds 350s are quiet a bit different IIRC.
