What cam for l98 heads?

I am getting a set of l98 heads for very very cheap. I plan on screw in studs and tougher springs. What cam would work well with the rest of my motor? Id like to get into the 13s at least with 3.42 gears.

I know this is possible but what cam should I run? LT4? ZZ4? aftermarket?

Do a search for the XR270HR cam. Of course, along with the screwed studs, you'll have to machine the spring seats for better springs and cut the guides for clearance and positive-type Teflon seals.

Since you're running a carb, you have a little more lattitude for your grind selection. That 270 would be a good starting point. If you don't mind a little more lope, a little less vacuum, and a little less streetability, you can experiment with more duration and overlap.
