305 cam

I have an 87 LG4 and want to put a new cam in. What are some good choices and what do i need to get to install it. Everything is stock but will be changed to a street\strip over 300 hp combo.

The LT1 cams work well with 305s.

Right.

He has an 87 so it should be ready for the roller cam already.

Honestly with all of my other mods (Like higher gears)and liking to take off fast
I could not give you an honest answer. My guess would be only minor loss in mpg, if driven nice and easy.

It works but there are probley better choices in my opinion. What mod's are you making besides the cam ?

The cam's made to build power with a flat torque curve. I'd be looking at a com cams with a carb'd car.......
