Ringin' Dingin' sound.....

What the heck is that.

When I'm driving, just at that point when ya reach 55, 60, whatever and let off the gas to stop accelerating, I hear this ringing sound under the hood.
Sounds like 2 spoons dangling from a string and being shaken slightly.

Flex plate?

Heat shield (would do that all the time right?)

Valve train (far fetched)

It's not really loud, and only does it for a second or two. Just annoying. I've crawled under and poked and shaken everything I can think of but still cant find it

Any ideas

Do you have an auto trans? Remove the Torque converter cover and inspect there. When did you last have the timing chain replaced? It may be time to inspect the tensioner. I had something similar happent to my V6 last summer, I kept hearing a clanking sound like what you described
. Turns out the tensioner had shattered, and the pieces bouncing off the timing chain and gears was making the noise. I found it out one morning when one of the pieces got wedged underneath the crank gear and siezed everything up. It was down for a couple days to fix that one.
