well, after assembling my car a few days ago, and firing it up, there was an odd noise under the engine.... plink... plink... plink... GUSHGUSHGUSH... My water pump had bled to death! Looking around, trying to find a reverse rotation water pump for the car w/out that little bracket on the drivers side (it interfered w/my P/S & alt bracket) I found one at a local Chevrolet dealer... if i had $101.45 + tax for it. SCREW THAT!!!
local Auto Zone had one (for a 98 4.3 Chevy Astrovan-because it didn't have the bracket) and fits fine for 14.99 + tax.
Just thought I would share this w/ya'll.

You could have had my old one (works fine, just got a high-flow one) for the cost of shipping it :-). I dunno if you have serpentine belts though. But I'm glad you found one that works.
