Help. Problems after headlight rebuild

I didn't know where to put this really. I placed a similar thread over in the electronics section and after a day or so it hasn't even been viewed once.

The problem is that I rebuilt my headlight motors the other day. I installed them and tested them. Everything worked. Now they will not pop up. The motors are nice and tight. The car acts like it isn't getting power to the light motors. The lights work. They just don't pop up. However if I crank them up manually they will stay up. And if I hit the switch they will come down properly.

Is there a relay or something I might have knocked out? If so where is it?

Can't help much since I have the three wire actuator (82-86 design), but, did you check the motor's harness for power when you turn the lights on? On my system, there are three relays, one for each light, and one main one. Inside the actuator are two switches that tell the system "light is up" or "light is down". Seems odd that both motor switches would've shorted (for "light is up") at the same time.
