i have a friend with a 5.7 tpi camaro and it will start, idle and then slowly just die. would could cause this and how can it be fixed? thanks

 

check IAC and EGR valve

 

could you explain a little more? i am only use to carbs and i dont know much about tpi.

 

IAC idle air control
EGR exhaust gas relay
tell ya what, instead of me telling ya , if ya look up in search ....tpi wont idle or something close to that about 50 replies will pop up already explained

 

i tried that and i cant find the same problem, most people will start and die right away or will run till it warms up and then dies. most post's say check the injectors, regulator, and fuel pump and filter. could somebody tell me how to check the injectors and regulators and where they are located? thanks

 

sorry bud im a tbi guy now days,been a while since ive messed with tpi,ya just need to look deeper,its there cause ive seen that particular case over and over with tpi crank run die crank run die
