No error codes...wtf (fixed it!)
I went down and bought the TPS and installed and adjusted it to .54V. I cleared the ecm and hooked it back up. I drove it around the block a few times and it runs horribly! I got home and checked the codes but there are none! The engine won't rev above 2500 even in park. It makes a horrible bogging/gurgling sound when accelerating. What could this be?? Thanks guys!

Is there any smoke coming from the exhaust?
Do you smell gas?
Does your oil look OK?
Did the problem start *right* after the TPS swap or was that an attempt to fix it?
Or did it start after the fan switch install?

Yup, it smokes when it starts so i know it needs new guides. BUt it only smokes a little when running and being pushed.
Yea i smell gas and since i got it it has been running rich. Lately the smell of actual gas inside has increased.
Its leaking oil pretty bad. I kinda notice that every time i take it out the oil leaks worse
The TPS was an attempt to fix the problem. This preblem was noticable before the maunaul switch but after its only gotten worse.
This engine just needs to hold on for 2 more monthes. Thanks!

Has the fuel filter ben replaced?
If you smell gas inside the car then you must have a decent fuel leak somewhere. Check along your fuel lines and FPR to make sure you are pouring fuel out somewhere.

Yes, the fuel pump and filter were recently changed too. It was "professionaly" done at a shop. Maybe the diaphram was just used to having crappy fuel psi from the old pump and the new one ruptured it? How do I tell for sure if this is the problem and where is the FPR located and how much to replace? Thanks!
The FPR is located under the very back of the plenum right in front of the distributor. Hook up a fuel pressure gauge to the rail. While the car is running, disconnect the vacuum line going to the FPR. You should see the fuel pressure jump up about 7 psi or so. Also, you can just disconnect the vacuum line going to the FPR while its idling and see if any fuel dribbles (or squirts) out of the nipple on the FPR.

I finally got real frustrated and brought it to a shop. Turns out it was my cat being totally and completely clogged up. I took it home and gutted it. all i can say is WOW
No more knocking, more power than when i bought it, and it sounds great! Well now at least i know that i have good fuel pressure and a good working tps
Thanks
