how do i make my speedo stop making the clicking sound??

Is it the speedometer or the trip odometer thats making the sounds?? Make sure!!

 

hmmm now that i think, it clicks when i step on the pedal, so i would think its the speedo but i dunno......

My electronic speedo in the Fiero clicks the same way, and it always has. What you are hearing are the pulses from the VSS moving the indicator mechanism. I'll bet we aren't the only ones whose speedos make noise. My cable-driven speedo in the TA doesn't. It used to bother me as well, untill I got a louder exhaust and better stereo.

thanks man, my dad had a buick that did the same thing but he pulled the panel off and put some graphite or something to like lube the thing and it shut up, but i like the exahust and audio ideas, theyre much better....i have a worse tickin though...a bad lifter..
