Engine still missing

hi

alright...i checked the fuel pressure (42psi engine off/37psi at idle) and i changed the plugs again (AC Rapid fire gapped at 35)..The engine still misses. It got a little worse now too, it misses all the time, through the whole rpm range. I unplugged the maf to put it in limp home mode, and the sputter persisted. I also tried unplugging the O2 to do the same, but the SES light never came on (could this mean my ECM is bad?). Like I said in my first post, I have replaced the cap and rotor, new wires and plugs, timing reset to 6before, new coil, new fuel filter, tested the fuel injecters (16.7 ohms each), and tested the fuel pressure (came out ok).

thanks for any help, nick

I went through a similar bout a few years back. I finally removed my injectors, had them cleaned and flow matched, and haven't had a problem since.

injectors would be a good guess, might want to try compression test and check the cat too.

thanks for the replies...im a little low on cash for now so I can't get the injectors serviced right away, but that will be my next step. I have a compression guage so I'll go see how that is doing while the weather is still nice...

yeah...my catalytic converter sort of "disapeared" a while ago...so it can't be clogged...

thanks, nick

Vader, how much did having the injectors serviced set you back?
