I'm running a carb (Holley 750) and when I woke up this morning, I went to start it up, and it just won't start. It ran fine yesterday, and I wasn't being harsh on it either. It sounds like it is going to start, and even sound like the motor is going, but ends up sounding like a backfire and just keeps turning over. Any ideas?

 

whats the fuel pressure reading? have you checked for spark?

 

Yeah, just the basics - Fuel, Spark (and timing), and Compression (including valve timing). I'll bet one of those is the problem.
