85' Vette heads aluminum?

are the 85 vette TPI heads aluminum? i did a search nothign was found. thanks alot!!

AFAIK, they were iron. Aluminum appeared in 1986-87 in perimeteter bolt flavor (14011128), and '88-up with center bolts, angled plugs, etc. (10088113)

were the iron ones perimeter bolt valve covers? thank, just need to know what to look for. cause i bid on this thinking all centerbolts on vettes were aluminum ........ http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2419173095

Aluminum showed up in 1986 only on roadsters. In 1987 they were found across the whole Corvette line. And what Vader said about the bolts is correct.
