i need recomendations on gasket&on oil pumps more within

i just got a GTA with a 5.7tpi the previous owner did some work on the motor new main bearings, new rodbearings, cam,cam bearings ,timing chain,he also installed an oil pump about 3 mnths ago that puts out 55lbs of o.p. at about 2k rpm when warm. 30 at idle. but it already has an oil pan gasget leak. i am gonna pull the pan to fix what gaskets would seal it best with all that oil press?would u use a chemical sealer? i thought of replacing the oil pump with a stock one. what do u suggest? whats the diff between high pressure and high volume oil pumps whats better? i dont want it to start leaking again like b4. thanks ed

The oil pan leaking doesnt have anything to do with the oil pressure, theres no pressure present on the oil pan gasket besides whatever blowby you might have.
I'd just stick a new gasket on there with no sealer (they are rubber) and leave the rest alone.

High pressure is just that, used just to make sure there is plenty of pressure to get oil to all the moving parts under higher loads. High volume pumps more oil through the system and should really only be used if you have a bigger oil pan otherwise you could run out of oil at sustained high RPM's.

can't say max is wrong, or that his way won't work. i prefer to use permatex hitack on the block to hold the gasket in place and a very thin layer of permatex ultracopper silicone on the pan. make sure you don't have "dimpples" where the bolts try to pull thru the oil pan and make sure you don't over tighten the oil pan bolts.

On oil pan gaskets I put a little sealer in the corners of the front and rear seals, and nothing on the pan rails.

If I'm working upside down and I need to stick the pan to the motor, I will use 3M wheatherstrip adhesive (the yellow stuff) on the block to hold the gasket up.
