Rebuilt 350

I currently have a 305 tbi in my 89 camaro, the engine has 152000 miles on it, and to say the least it's in a state of disrepair. I was just wondering what you guys think is a fair price for a rebuilt 350 so I don't get shafted when I start looking around. Thanks

Hmm I'd say it depends on the rebuild quality.. If it was a complete overhaul (including heads) I'd pay about 350 bucks for it.. If it was just basics like bearings, rings and gaskets, maybe 200 or 250.

by short block that means Crackshaft connectiong rods and pistons all ready installed. if your getting all that and its a roller block i say thats a good deal. i'm looking on E-bay right now for just a bare block and that are going for around $300-$500 and thats means that need to be bored, cam bearing pressed in, decked and all that other stuff. the crankshaft cost about $400 (i think) plus the cost of pistons, rings, and bearing so $1,000 - $1,500 is a good deal is its a true short block
