Accel 300+ Race Wire?

Are the 8.8 300+ Wires better than the Accel 8.0 yellow wires? Just curious? I got the yellows but was thinking about the 8.8's Will I feel a difference on a stock motor and my mods.

on a stock ignition set up i doubt if you'd see or feel any differance. i believe the 8.8's are better wires then the 8's.

I've heard nothing but horror stories about Accel wires,I've heard about boots breaking and sleeves coming apart among other things that they are kinda like the B&M megashifter of the ignition world or like FRAM just living on reputation not quality.
Some people have good luck but I've seen only junk except for the extreme 9000's

I would stay away from the Accel wires. I have had several sets that crossfire. I had a set of the 300+ wires, they lasted about 4 months. Taylor wires are much better. Also, I have used the Splitfire Plug Wires on my truck. So far, I believe they are the best wires I have bought.

I had the 8.8 300+ "race" wires. TOTAL TRASH!!!!! The wires themselves one by one cracked, several boots melted, etc. I changed them out one by one as they went bad w/ a used set of Taylor 8mm wires that I had. I have had ZERO problems w/ them. Exact same wire routing as the Accels, so it wasn't the wires being routed too near the headers or anything. I'm sticking to Taylors from now on. Don't buy anything from Accel if you can help it, I know I won't. (also had a Accel Blueprint Distrib that I bought at the same time as the wires, also total trash, had alot of problems w/ it, now a MSD Pro-Billet Distrib is in it's place, immediately fixed ignition probs I was having...)
