BUT it's noisy as hell. It pulls alot of air it seems. It'a fine with the line uncapped at idle...but when you plug the end of the hose or rev it, it sounds like a damn 2 stroke chainsaw. It's only pulling through one 3/8" fitting.....so even with no hose on it it starts making the noise above 2500 rpm give or take. If I could get it to stop making noise when it sees vacuum..it'd be great.
I did it by blocking off the intake port (.5"x2" slot) behind the plactic fan, and drilling a hole and JB welding in a 3/8" brass elbow into the top of the pumps intake port. Then I ran a hose from that up to the PCV on one valve cover, while plugging the other side.

I made similar modifications to mine for my new engine. It will be next weekend before I get to install the motor and try the "vacuum" pump. How much vacuum does yours pull?
That's an awesome idea, especially since vaccumm pumps are a ridiculous amount of money...way to go! That's an idea for the new motor...

I don't have a vacuum gauge to stick on it yet..it seems significant though.
Also..don't forget so far it is too noisy to actually use. I have a couple ideas to make it work...I'm gonna put in a second port for the other valve cover to halve the built in intake restriction, and maybe put some sort of muffler on the exaust end of it. I'll keep ya posted.
