Air conditioning removal

I want to pull off my AC compressor on my 89' IROC. I wanted to know where to get the proper brackets and the replacement pulley to do this. Or is there some way to change the belt routing so that I don't have to have a dummy pulley.
Thanks

Do a search for the AC delete pulley.
One guy was also trying to modify the brackets and belt routing. I'm not sure how that fared though.

Keep all your parts in case you ever want to sell the car, a friend of mine ditched his air and all the parts and then had a hard time selling the car because everyone wants a car with working air!!!

Here is 3 words of advice for you.

DON'T DO IT.

Trust me you will wish you still had it. If I had the ability to see the future 2 years ago I would never have done it.

I agree, if you have the serpentine set up just leave it be. I took all the AC and smog crap out of my 87 but it had all those gay *** v-belts, the 92 will be left in tact ( the AC that is ).

Soon as I get the exterior done Im gonna see what all I need to buy to reinstall my AC.

Unless you live in Antarctica I would leave it be. AC is so nice.

I may have left mine in the car but $200+ for a compressor was unreasonable to me. Besides having 260 air is good enough. 2 windows, 60mph.

260 AC doesn't work when your driving to work in 100 degree weather then it starts to rain. Then your goondicked.

I even have t tops but t tops suck. Its actually hotter in the car with the off because the sun is cooking you.
