Noise coming from behind gas cap?

When my car is running, if I put my ear down to the gas door, I can hear a humming/buzzing noise. Is this normal? I just replaced my gas cap because my old one had a leak. The noise was there before and after the new cap?

Uhh.... hmmm... you dont think a fuel pump would be hiding in your gas tank would you ? Nah cant'be; fuel pumps have no business being in there. lol
