rough jerky idle, engine shakin' -help!?
car runs great over 1000rpms, only when it comes to a stop it idles pretty rough bouncing from 500-800rpms and jerks forward a little bit. stalled on me a few times to w/a check eng. light, starts right back up. popped the hood and the engine is shakin' quite a bit. the IAC was disconnected and it smoothed out but idled at 1500 which does me no good. might it need to be replaced? what else could it be? i think a couple of my injectors are lame too, could that cause it? any help is appreciated, thanks!

Well, it could be a few things. First, I would check what error code its showing. If you don't know how to find out what error code it is showing, check here:
https://www.thirdgen.org/faq/thirdgen.shtml#misc
Look for the connector on the bottom of the dash, on the drivers side. It may have a small plastic plate covering it.
The check engine light does not have to be on for this to work, it will store the previous error code(s) in memory for you.
Some of the things I would look for would be:
Vacuum leaks, fuel injected cars are very sensitive to them. Look for vacuum hoses that are broken or disconnected.
MAF sensor. Dont just run out and buy a new one, because they're expensive, and it may not be the problem. If you have the cash to buy one, see if the parts store will let you return it, in case its not the problem.
If you retrieve the error code, post it here, and we can help you more.

okay, i'll work on checking the codes and look for bad hoses.
forgot to mention, the fuel pressure is good, throttle body was cleaned a month ago and new plugs were put in a few weeks ago. 1 plug in particular has fouled 2x on me.

I know it's a totally different vehicle but my Ford truck was doing the same exact thing. Never happened until the distributor went out on it. Had no choice but to have it towed cuz it was a ways away from home, so they replaced the distributor for me. Turns out they timed it incorrectly. I fixed the timing and it runs like brand new.
