LS1 cam question

Will an LS1 cam/lifters work in a 305TPI? If not what are some others beside the LT1 that I could use and get cheap?

Thanks,
Mark

Moreover, the LS-series engines have a larger cam journal diameter, and a valve arrangement like the BBC instead of small blocks - I-E-I-E-I-E-I-E. However, the length is about the same.

only 2 things interchange between LS* motors and pre LS

Roller lifters and connecting rod bearings.
