Leaded fuel will kill your oxygen sensor, and I cant see how it would 'clean' out your gas tank at all. Leaded fuel was designed to slow down valve seat wear, and also to increase the octane of the gasoline, but Ive never heard of it cleaning carbon deposits. The most common cause of excessive carbon is leaky valve seals, which causes buildup on the backs of the valves and loss of power. This is very common on smallblocks. The first thing to do in this case is fix the valve seals. If you are refering to deposits in the tank, its common belief that ethanol will (after long periods of time) break up sludge in your gas tank. Hope this helps...

My friend bought an Accel Fuel Filter and we peeled off the Accel sticker and guess what was underneath? It was an AC Delco filter with an Accel Sticker on it. It cost almost $4.00 for that sticker.
