Car Knocking

I started to hear what sounded like a top end knock/tap whatever. Oh and its a 350 TPI if it makes a difference. So we found out that the pass. side head wasn't getting oil. We took the intake off and cleaned out all the passages and cranked it over. Its getting oil now so we put it all back together but it is still knocking after it gets warm and only when its warm. Any ideas on what it might be

Can you isolate the sound to a particular side, or is it generally the same on both side?

I would drain the oil, strain it though a fine mesh cloth and see if you find any babbit or copper filings. Cut open the oil filter and look for the same. If you find large pieces, she's hurt bad. I just wiped a cam lobe out of my motor and the amount of grunge lets you know things aren't right. My motor was "clacking" like needing a valve adjustment but it is obvious when I pulled the valve cover that number 1 rocker had stopped rocking.

Well it sounds to me like the pass. side of the car but its hard to tell. it started as a tap now i think its progressed to a knock. with the intake off the lifters, pushrods, rocker arms and all seem fine so im thinking a spun bearing ?

I thought that the only way oil got to the heads was through the pushrods. Did you pull those out and blow air through them?
