motor mount reinstallation
I am replacing my motor mounts, along with my header install....
My question is this: What is the easiest way for reinstallation of the mounts?
Do I mount it to the frame/crossmember first or should I attach it to the cradle thing on the motor first?
Thanks

Have you started yet?
I'd say to the frame first. Dropping the a-arm sure does make it easier to get to those mount bolt nuts, too.

Mount it to the frame first, then put drop the motor back onto the mount?
How hard is it to drop the A-arm down? Whats involved?

Mount to the cradle first.
Why is it that people have trouble getting to the bolts without dropping the arms? It took me about an hour to change both of mine with the engine in the car. All I took off were the front wheels.

No problem if your hands are too small to palm a volleyball.
Mounting on the cradle first may allow you to drop/install the a-arm a little easier.

Ha Ha funny :lala:
I can palm a basketball.
I'm just trying to understand why it's such a pain for a lot of people.
I have no A.I.R. or any AC on my car. Does that make it easier?
I had the wife turning a wrench from on top while I was underneath the car.
I took the wheel off and had the jackstands underneath the carrier all the while running extensions and a swivel through the spring.
That's what I did and it was not difficult once you figure out what angle is best to fit the extensions through the spring.
Maybe some of this will help.
