Battery Reloc. / MSD connection ?

I'm probably going to relocate my battery to the trunk and use that spot for my PCM until I install the blower. My question is where can/should I hook up the MSD box power wire?

I haven't looked into relocating the battery much yet. What are some tips on how best to set it up? What gauge wiring should I use to run from the trunk to the engine bay? I'll probably go get a new Optima for this. Should I use a battery case like what's required for NHRA?

I mounted my battery in the trunk of my convt on the driver side (wife wouldn't let me ditch the spare tire!). I used the Moroso Box to keep everything legal at the track. It's vented and I have the battery cut off switch mounted behind the license plate. I used like 01 or 00 cable. I ran a hot to the starter and a negative all the way to the front of the car/engine, plus I took another ground to the back part of the car. Subframe cars can have problems. My 6AL box is mounted on the driver side next to the brake booster, when I swapped to a stand alone wiring harness for my L98 swap I ditched the fuel/fan relays that used to be there. Not sure where I stole power from for the box, can't remember.

I have my power wire going to the starter motor. The MSD instructions mentioned that as a good spot. They also wrote not to wire the MSD to the alternator, but I don't know why- it didn't make sense, since the alternator goes to the battery.
