mass air flow su#145 where to get one
DGBR,
If you need a replacement, it is definitely worth chscking into. If you are seeking greater intake flow, you might want to look at the other restrictions in the system first.
What engine/car/fuel system do you have?

sorry vader i'm new to this so bare with me its a 89 iroc 5.7 gutted cat k&n took the screens out of the maf i hope i didn't mess it up i'm having what seems to be a comon problem around here you know stalling surgeing hunting idle one day i get four codes the next day i only get one the codes are 22 33 36 44 i've only had the car since april where can i start and where can i finish i wish i could bring the car to you i'm also thinking of buying the diacom software will this help to pinpoint the problem or problems .thanks
to get rid of your codes 22 and 33 you probably just have to adjust your tps(throttle position switch) to .54vdc. to get rid of 36 change the maf burn off relay located on the driver side firewall. and for the code 44 , change your o2 sensor. after changing all of these things disconnect the battery for 5 minutes to clear any codes. then check if you get an ses light. good luck

DG,
A code '33' is seldom a good thing. Just for arguments' sake, check the electrical connector to the MAF. After that, clear the ECM of fault codes then start the engine again. If you get another SES lamp within a few seconds of starting, shut it off and check the codes. A '33' means you may have destroyed the MAF hot wire.
If that's the case, it's time to go shopping.

Before you do any adjustments or replacements check your connections. Especially on the MAF sensor, the burn-off relay and the ECM. I looked-up all the codes you mentioned and having all of them at once seems to point to a bad connection somewhere.
It would take me hours to send all of the GM "non-scan" diagnostics you would have to do, to track down all of those codes.
The proper procedures could be found in the service manual(I've had one on back-order for over a year) or you could pick-up a book I have from S-A Designs; "CHEVY TPI Fuel Injection Swapper's Guide" by John Baechtel. This has a very good troubleshooting section that utilizes GM's own flow charts. The book should be available from JEG'S, Summit, or possibly a local bookstore. It might be among the best $20 you ever spend on your TPI motor.
