opinions needed about engines being swapped

ok here's the deal. i was gonna have a 350 swapped into my 89rs 2.8 next week, but i just bought a 91 rs convert with a 305 with 150,000. my friend said i should put the 350 into the convertible, and put the 305 into the 89 and just rebuild it. what do you think? the 350 has less than 20k on it. the deal was the guy was gonna swap everything from the 350, tranny and everything for 2,500 including labor. but now i'm unsure what to do.

This is entirely up to you. In my opinion I would put the 350 in the coupe because they will perform better. They are lighter and handle bettter. Put the 305 in the convertible but make it a little stouter. Put in a decent cam and maybe a valve job, headers and some minor things to help it out.

Put the 350 in the '91 and sell the 305. Leave the '89 alone.

Ditto to the man with the big shoebox.....

Except, put the 350 in the ragtop and sell ALL other cars and parts. Sell the 305 to help generate $$$ for the 350 swap.

Use the 6-banger for wheels while the '91 is
being 350-ized. Once it's on the road, sell the '89 and BINGO !

No more pooches and extra dinero for gofaster parts on the '91.
