Stripped tranny mount holes
Stripped tranny mount holes
Well after removing my tranmission a million times, 3 of the bolt holes for my tranny mount have stripped threads now and I'm afraid the mount is just gonna fall down one day. lol
Did anyone ever have to repair those threads somehow ? As far as I can see, the nuts are inside the frame, soooo.. how do you get to them ??

my 82s were already helicoliled when i got it... i donno how they did it though... or how much metal is there to cut into.
edit... im assuming you mean where the crossmember bolts into the frame, right?

Yeah that's what I mean. One of them, the nut is spinning inside the frame though, so I dont think a heli coil type repair is gonna do anything. I already put a flywheel bolt in one of them, kinda cut new threads with the bolt. It works
Thanx for the tips guys.
