How much does my car weigh?
Hey,
Just got a G-Tech for my birthday and kind of need to know how much my car weighs. I will try to go to a city dump or something soon to use the scales but until then I was wondering what a good number to start with is. I found the 1992 specs on f-body.org, but don't know if they are different from 1984. My car is an '84 Camaro with carb'd 350, T-5, and C&C T-Tops. Can anybody help?

Car: 82 Berlinetta/57 Bel Air
Engine: LS1/LQ4
Transmission: 4L60E/4L80E
Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
The only right way is to get it weighed, with and without you in it, and knowing how much gas is in the tank.
Mine weighs just over 3300 lbs w/o me in it, and about 1/2 tank of gas.
------------------
82 Berlinetta, orig V-6 car. Rescued w/86 LG4/TH700R with all harnesses, sensors, ECM, etc. 2.73 open. Cat-back from '91 GTA, Accel HEI SuperCoil. AMSOIL syn lubes bumper-to-bumper. Daily driver, work-in-progress (LB9 w/ZZ3 cam, exhaust, paint, etc.).
57 Bel Air, my 1st car. Currently 396 .030 over, Weiand Action+, Edelbrock 1901 Q-Jet, Jacobs Omnipack, 1-3/4" headers, TH400 w/TCI Sat Night Special conv & shift kit, 3.08 10-bolt, AMSOIL syn lubes bumper-to-bumper. Best 15.1 @ 5800' Bandimere. Daily driver while Camaro was being put together.

Thanks everybody. I found a landfill to have it weighted at yesterday (killer semi-stopping speedbumps). 3220lbs with quarter tank of gas and no driver. Assorted junk laying around in the car too. Got to get it cleaned out this weekend...
Now to see what the GTech says. Driving home from work a quarter mile at a time!
