Oil Pressure Drop???

My 305 LB9 use to hold a steady pressure just below 29lbs. I noticed yesterday on the way home from work (7 miles) the oil pressure quickly dropped down to 15lbs. It has never done this before. On the way to work this morning the oil pressure was back up to 29lbs but at lunch the oil pressure dropped back down to 15lbs. I live in Florida so there are no hills and the drive to work or lunch is very short. Any ideas what might be going on? 2 weeks ago I flushed the engine prior to changing the oil over to 20w50 Gastrol Syntec.

it's common to have oil pressuer drop with syntethic oil. i'd also check my oil preasure with a mechanical gauge. the factory set up isn't known for being accurate.

Help me out on this one... Why would a half synthetic oil run at a lower pressure? Running 10w30 Valvoline then switching over to 20w50 Syntec, it seems like the pressure would have been steady at around 30lbs instead of dropping down to 15lbs when the engine heats up...
