Need help ima bout to go insane!

Ok so my car woundnt start this morning and i figured it was the starter. We get a new one installed in and did the same thing, so we jumped it and it runs, but when u turn it off it has a hard time to start again. Its a new sh*tty battery from advanced and the altenator really didnt charge it back up after bout a hour of driven so im thinking its the altenator, any help would be awsome guys thanx

well an alternator would do that =]

take it to advanced n get it tested, its free but it should be pumping 13-14 volts. if you have a voltmeter, give it a test n see if its running off the batteries.

When you tired to start it, did the lights flicker? does your headlights flicker and any other abnormal activities?

I fixed my half wit brother who had the same problem as you, have somebody wiggle the battery connections when you turn it over, hopefully a simple case of dirty or loose connections.

Same thing happened to me. Save yourself the time, money, and aggrivation. Change the alternator.

my ford tempo did it for awhile, I checked the connections and they were good. Changed the alternator and she runs good now.

Taking it was $79 bucks for a new alternator (that pissed me off seeing the ford is a winter beater/a ride to work in dirty clothes with a I don't care if this car is clean thought) but thats a real life for ya lol
