RPM's Bucking @ idle....topic update...

alright posted this a while ago too about my lopey idle, heres the engine

89 camaro 305 tpi (mostly stock)

things ive done:

New Maf
New Plug Wires
New Plugs
New Cap and rotor
All new Vaccuum lines
New Ground
New Fuel Filter

so far none of these have solved my problem. Here are my questions cause i am slowly tryign to figure out what is causing this...

1. Could it be my fuel pump? i only have this rpm bucking at idle and it jerks my car, if its a fuel pump can i get an electric inline pump and disconnect the fuse for my current pump and hook up the inline one?

2. Alternator? is it possible my alternator is going bad so it isnt giving the engine the juice it needs? my volt meter says that its a steady 14v but when the rpms buck it drops and rises again

3. Ignition? i bought a MSD ignition coil to put on but i have to put my trans back together ( https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=194202 ) i didnt buy the 6al one cause i dont ahve the mony for it yet, but could this too be the problem?

4.EGR Valve? im gonna be replacing the plenium soon and whil eim there should i replace the EGR?

5. Fuel Pressure Regulator? Possible i need a new one, as said above im going to replave the plenium should i do this while im there?

6.Leaky runners/plenium? I can see the gasket between the plenium and runners start to come up above the seal, i think the gasket may be bad, could this cause it.

thats all i could think of for now, pleaes with responses?

Did you check the timing and see if it stays steady or varies a bit. The symptoms are classic for a worn out distributor shaft bearing.

Maf is fine, the codes are random, sometimes i pull a code sometimes i dont, i dont really trust the ses too much..

i have yet to check my timing i plan on getting a tune-up soon so ill check then....what about the things i suggested would any of those be the cause of the problem?

Hows the O2 sensor? If thats all f**ked up, then it could be running pig rich, which would make it idle like that.

Any of those things you mention could have an affect, but always check the easy and cheapest things to fix first.
