1992 rs stalled, now won't start
Ok, a couple of weeks ago my bro's RS is having some problems. He was out and his car would't start. He got his car jumped and it started. Well the next couple of days his car would start on it's own, but a couple of times it had to get jumped. Well, he replaced the alt. then the other day the car stalled in the middle of the road, he got it jumped and started, and got it home and it stalled again. Now if you try to start it on it's own, you can hear the started engage and it makes a clicking noise, but the engine won't do a thing, won't turn over nothing. Battery volt is down to 10, he also said that before the car stalls the bat. gauge drops down to around 8 then it dies. Any Ideas? New battery? Short somewhere? Thanks for the help.

hmm well if it doesnt start on it's own, he needs a new battery, as for the stalling, it's weird if the voltage drops that's the alternator

Well I got it figured out, the plastic terminal were the postitive wire from the battery goes to meet a bunch of other wires, well all of those wires were coroted (spelling?) The nut that held them on was rusted and a little lose, so that caused alot of resistance, causeing voltage to drop, car to stall, unable to start. But I do think the starter may be going bad too. Well I won't worry about it till he is stranded again!
Thanks
