Well went to fire up the new motor today and I'm having a weird problem... When you start it the motor will begin to run but once you try to bring the RPMs up it'll just sputter out the carb. I felt the header tubes and noticed it wasn't firing on #2 and #8 so I checked for sparked and they werent firing. So then I changed the 2 plugs and wires and they started firing but NOW #3 a #7 don't fire! It seems no matter what this thing will only run on 6 cylinders at a time. Car has a MSD 6AL and Pro-Billet distributor (both new). They are all hooked up properly and worked perfectly fine 5 months agoon the old motor. The dist is in right it points right at #1 when its at TDC and the firing order is also right - I checked it all 5 times. I've played with different timings and nothing helps. I also thought maybe the rockers were too tight so I redid the lash and still nothing... I havent had much of a chance to play with it so maybe you guys could give me some ideas of what could be wrong? I don't want to keep trying to fire this motor up because I have WAY too much money into it and dont wanna risk hurting it.

Sorry for the ramble I'm tired and confused hopefully it makes sense...

Thanks,
Chris

I took out all the ignition crap and put everything back together nice and neat and it worked fine. My problem was 1 plug wasnt firing and my timing was waaaay retarded.
