How did I screw this up?
Put new Taylor wires, new Accel cap and rotor, new plugs in today. After 128,000 miles I think I'm the first one to do this. The plugs were severly worn, and with the new wires and cap I was eagerly awaiting the roar when I turned the key. Nothing but a whine from the starter. At first I thought it was the ignition module so I had it checked, they said it was bad so I bought a new one. Same result. I felt the starter and it was really hot. I smacked it with a hammer and tried to jump it manually. The selanoid clicked over but nothing happened. Is this a strange coincidence or did I forget to reconnect something? If I do pull the starter do I have to drop the exhaust?

Well if the engine isn't being turned over when you go to start it then it is most likely a bad starter. Now if the engine is cranking but just not starting then you might of mismatched the plug wires.
