stamped on the bellhousing ...
10046164
CANADA
GM 5.0LG

On the front by the head
K0489560

I was told it was a 350 but it isnt looking that way, it also has all the smog stuff on it, pump, lines and what not....

i did, this block is an odd ball, i think its just a 305 that someone put the TPI intake on from a 350.

newer blocks have the size stamped on them like that...

i hope you werent buying it from someone as a 350, because it is a 305...

305 = 5.0L (L for liters)
350 = 5.7L

etc etc

it IS a 305 tho

yep def a 305 unless gm made a stamping error..pretty sure the 5.0l and 5.7l are cast in there though.. woulda had to somehow have a bad mold or somethin to cast a 350 with 5.0l stamped on it.. but hey stranger things have happened.. if your really in doubt pull the heads and measure the bore.. im pretty sure your gonna find out its a 305 however

yep, assuming its using the same belt configuration, some newer sbcs with serp belts use reverse flow pumps

would they use different head gaskets as well? since the bore sizing is different?
