Well, I've been having cold starting problems. The car will start (I have to give it some gas to start) and idle at around 750, then the rpms will start dropping slowly until it dies. I'll give it some gas so it won't die, the rpms go up again (of course) then they will slowly drop again... this will go on until the engine is a bit warm. When warm I'll have no problems.
I checked my codes and I have the EGR code. So I bought the EGR Valve and selenoid and did ALL the work of removing the plenum and runners to replace my EGR valve. I replace it with a new one, put it back together, start it up again, SAME THING! The car won't stay running when cold! I still get the damn EGR CODE!
So my question is, what is wrong with my car then!? Could it be the Temperature Sensor in the EGR valve? I hope not cause I would have to remove the plenum again (right?)... what else can cause this?
Please help me

Drowned,
You really shouldn't get an EGR code unless you have been driving on the highway for several minutes at cruise and the EGR fails to open. If you are getting a code at idle, the ECM has detected a wiring problem with the EGR solenoid or diagnostice temperature sensor. If you suspec the EGR is causing your idle problems, disconnect the vacuum line from the EGR valve or solenoid and plug it. If the valve is new, it should be sealing and won't leak and exhaust gas.
If the idle problem persists, your EGR is probably not at fault.
Waiting for resutls...

i think you bought the egr for nothing it was probably an old code. Check the fuel pressure.

Well, you were right. I checked the cable that goes from the diagnostic temperature sensor to the harness and the connector that's in the middle had melted and the wire was loose
So I changed it and now the car doesn't die when cold!!!
I think this was it...! it just idles too low now... like 500 rpm, looks like I have to adjust my IAC and timing (need a new chain)!
Thank you so much
