Transmission: 4L60e, 700R4, 700R4..

Axle/Gears: 3.27, 2.73

Friend's car idle roams

My friend's Olds Achieva (3.3ish) idle is jumping around from 700ish to 1200 when warmed up. It goes up then down then up then down....get it. Where should I look first?

If it has a MAF sensor, start there. Tap on it with a screwdriver handle or similar and see if it stops doing that. Might try to pull codes too, but I dunno what year it is, might be OBD II.

Wheres GM tech? He will know this one for sure...
