bastard j/k. I wish my car was that new. All my cars looked like theyve been through a demolition derby. One tip since you ahve t-tops. get weld in sub frame connectors. I made the mistake of not getting them and after my 350 swap my t-tops and hatch started to leak like its nobodies buisness.

How much are subframe connectors? I'm going to look into that. My cobra/mustang cousin said that the convertibles hjave chassis strengthened since its a rag top, coupes are stronger, but t-tops aren't strengthened and thats why the fox-bodies used to bend a little bit, in the frame.

Anyways, heres my interior picture. Yes it is plum filthy, but the BIG vaccuum is coming to clean house. The valvoline thing on drivers side is temporary. Oh, and please disregard that Ford pickup, thats my buddies mom who came by with the digi camera

Actually factory T-top cars got a reinforced uni-body from everthing I have read so far, that's why all the convertibles started out as T-top cars before the conversion shop changed them over to convertibles, but still get good weld in subframes for it, it will make it hold up a lot longer, buy the way...NICE CAR

Beautiful ride!!!!!

Mine had 103,000 on it when I got it for 500 bucks. 3 Years and close to 4000 bucks later, the body's still in primer, the original interior is still pretty much shot, it rattles everywhere (still have'nt installed those darn SFC's)..........I should have bought a nicer one to begin with, but the HO badges were unique and I figured for 500........ how go I go wrong???

Well, by not buying a nice one to begin with like you did first off.

Still hauls though for a 305!!! I'll get mine painted Sebring silver (Dodge color), and get the ground effects painted the same color.

Post a pic of your engine if you have one!! Esp. if it's bone stock. I could use one as a reference for where to route all the wires/hoses better!!!

My engine pic:

I'm definately not liking the fog lights, but other than that, the car is absolutely beautiful! I've always had quite a liking for the L69 5 speed cars.

Thank you for the compliments....

However, the foglights on the car were not installed by me. The previous owner (made 6 figures a year) added these. This was a special ordered z28. It was delivered to his door, not one that came out of a car lot. I'm the second owner

Thanks for the compliment!

So far as the air cleaner goes, I just carefully masked off the decal, buffed up the paint a bit and used some gloss black and walaa!! Luckily the decal and hoses were already in good shape on mine.
There's one guy on the board that had his chromed! Looks sweet!

I painted the engine Mopar blue (getting flame suit on), cause I think a black engine hides leaks too much.

Bitchin' car man... wish my '83 HO looked that clean

Question: My '83s GFX badges were stolen, and I was wondering... under the plastic Z28 badge, were it says "5.0L HO" is that a sticker or what?

Oh... and did you ever find a build sheet or an RPO sheet? I'm still looking for one...

Yea its just a decal thing that says 5.0L H.O., but 26 dollars?!?!??! But I guess for them decals it has to come from the hip.

Oh and thanks for the compliments

I didn't realize we had a few 83 L69 owners here. Sweet ride! I noticed your odometer is 5 characters. I have an 83 CFI Z28 and it has a 6 characters . But my 84 Iron Duke has 5.

it would be cool if someone would print them for different engine sizes. I get so tired of hearing 'wow... what mods did ya do to that 305!"

I believe most all the 83 Z's got the glass hoods, along with the 82 CFI's.....then they were recalled.....
