Oil Pressure gauge is dropping to 0 psi at a stop!!!

I just got back from driving my GTA and happened to look at the oil pressure gauge and it is dropping all the way down to 0 at a stop, when cruising it is between the 0 and 30 range. I just got the car back today from the body shop but previous to this it has never really dropped but a couple of notches below 30 and is usually pinned at 60 psi? Could this be a bad sending unit? I am praying it is!!!!! Let me know what you think. The car isn't ticking or making any unusual noises.

i'd hook up a mechanical gauge and double check it. if it reads low or none you need to look at the oil pump.

well...with 0 oil pressure, you're car wouldn't be running, so it has to be the sending unit or possibly a bad gauge

Mine was doing the same thing and it turned out to be the sending unit.

check your oil level also. i was low on oil so my gauge displayed a low reading. if you have plenty of oil, then i'd say its your sending unit.

If you have a gauge you also have the fuel pump cut out if you lose all pressure. Therefor if you have no oil pressure your fuel pump wouldn't run. This leads me to believe that your sending unit to the gauge is bad. This sender is by the distributer.

Perp, it depends on the engine.. oil pressure sending unit on my car is near the oil filter on the driver's side of the block...
