Shifter Indicator

On my 700-R4, my stock shifter indicator reads

P R N OD D 2 1

My question is that what is the difference between mine and lets say

P R N D 3 2 1

Is there a way where I can change it to P R N D 3 2 1?????

On the 700-R4s D is 3rd. So only the lettering is different. I guess you can just make up a template to go in the shifter plate to use instead of your stock one, so it will say 3 instead of D. I see no reason though.

You could change it to whatever you want I suppose, just as long as you don't forget when gear you are really in

The simple answer is that the only difference is the letters/numbers.
The [D] on your shifter is 3rd gear and [OD] is 4th.
The [D] on their shifter is 4th gear

Odd that they would change languages part way through the order like that - " One, Two, Drei," etc. You might also find a "G" on the accelerator pedal for "Germulicheit".

Is "R" still for "Race?"
