Spark Plugs

I went to change the spark plugs on my 92 rs with the 305 v8. Easy right. They are about impossible to get to. Any ideas on how to get to them easy because it costs about $75 they i dont have.

Sure, dude, I did it on a '91 Formula (305 TBI). I reached a few thru the top of the hood. The most were pulled from underneath the car, while it was on wheel ramps, with the rear wheels blocked. That made things -much- easier! Most of the time was spent trying to figure out how to get that those suckers.

I don't think I used anything special, just a ratchet, short extension, and a spark plug socket. I might've used a universal (swivel attachment for socket sets) but I'm not sure... they sell those at Sears/Home Depot/Pep Boys/etc.

yah, definitely get some of them from underneath... I didn't have anything other than regular tools either, just a ratchet, sparkplug extension and a lot of time to crawl around and get dirty.

from the top get cylenders 1,2,3,5
7,4,6,8 from underneeth

1,3,5 are the first 3 on the drivers side (ez) 7 is the last on the drivers side.

2 is the first on the drivers side. i take the mounting bracket for my ac compressor out to give my arm some more room and sometimes can reach 4 then w/ car on stands get the rest not to hard just trickey and as MO said, your gonna get dirty
